How to take a Screenshot on PC?

Screenshot is an image taken on whatever is on screen. We all know how to take a screenshot on mobile phones. But only few know how to take a screenshot on a PC. This article will let you know how to take PC screenshot.

Taking a screenshot on a PC is done in the same way in other version of windows. It is very simple and very easy.

Step 1:- First select the screen whose screenshot you want to take.

Step 2:- Click the Prt Sc (print screen) button, which is on the right hand side of the keyboard. Hitting this button once save a screenshot of the entire screen if more than one monitor is connected.

OR

Click the Alt+ PrtScn, both at the same time if you want to take a screenshot of a single window that you’re focused on.

OR

Click Win+ PrtScn, both at the same time, this feature is available in Win 8, which automatically saves the screenshot in a Screenshot folder.

Step3:- After clicking the Prt Scn button, go to Microsoft Paint. When it open right click the mouse then click the Paste option, or press Ctrl + V , by doing this entire screenshot of the screen appears on the Paint.

Step 4:- When the entire screen appears on the paint, press Ctrl+S, which will save the screen shot in .jpeg format or .png format.

This method is very simple and easy, anyone can perform it and can take as many screenshot as they want.

Apart from this, there are many third party apps which allow you to take screenshot on a PC. They are both free or paid. By installing such apps you can use more advanced features, like tuning the pixels of the screenshot. One example of a free print screen tool that’s more advanced than the Windows one is called PrtScn. Another,Winsnap, is very good but it has a professional version with a fee, so the free edition lacks some of those more advanced features.
